Ford Madox Brown was a British painter and designer born in 1821 in Calais, France. He was raised in England and studied at the School of Design in London, where he was influenced by the Pre-Raphaelite movement.
Brown was known for his detailed and realistic style, and he often depicted historical and literary scenes in his paintings. He was also a skilled designer, and he worked on many decorative projects, including stained glass windows and murals.
