Pierre-Auguste Renoir (1841–1919) was a leading French Impressionist painter celebrated for his vibrant, light-filled scenes of everyday life. Known for his mastery of color and fluid brushwork, Renoir captured joyful moments—social gatherings, intimate portraits, and leisurely landscapes—with warmth and sensuality. Trained at the École des Beaux-Arts, he helped pioneer the Impressionist movement alongside Monet and others, though he later embraced a more classical style. His work reflects a deep appreciation for beauty, particularly the human form. Despite suffering from arthritis in later years, Renoir continued to paint, leaving behind a rich legacy of art filled with grace and vitality.
