Saverio Manetti is known for his contributions to ornithology through his collaboration with the Italian naturalist, ornithologist, and physician Giovanni Antonio Scopoli. They worked together on the monumental work titled “Deliciae Florae et Faunae Insubricae,” published in the 18th century. This work included detailed illustrations of birds and plants found in the Lombardy region.
